Blobs

A falling-blob chain puzzle. Colour pairs drop in two at a time; line up four or more of the same colour and they pop. Cleared blobs make others fall, which can pop again — string together chain reactions for explosive scores. How big a chain can you build?

How to play

Blobs fall from the top in joined pairs of two colours. Tap the left or right side of the board to slide the pair across, tap the middle to rotate it around, and swipe down to drop it instantly.

Whenever four or more blobs of the same colour end up touching each other side-to-side or top-to-bottom, that whole group pops and disappears. The blobs sitting above the gap then fall down to fill it.

This is where the game gets exciting: if those falling blobs land to form a new group of four, that pops too — a chain. Each link in a chain is worth far more than the last, so a single well-built stack can erupt into a five- or six-step cascade worth thousands. Plan your colours so that clearing one group sets up the next. If the blobs stack all the way to the top, the game is over, so keep things tidy and tap New to try again.

Tips & strategy

Don't pop the moment you can. The instinct is to clear every group of four as soon as it forms, but a flat board scores almost nothing. Hold your fire, stack a tall structure, and detonate it all at once for a chain worth many times more.

Build staircases of one colour. The simplest reliable chain is a column of, say, reds with a green cap; clearing the greens drops a red into the reds, which clears and drops the next. Stagger groups so each pop feeds the one below it.

Keep one column low as a release valve. Garbage you can't use tends to pile in the middle, so dedicate an edge column to junk and your escape route, and never let your tallest stack creep toward the spawn point in the centre.

Watch the next pair, always. The preview tells you what is coming, so place the current pair with the next one in mind — a colour you have nowhere to put now becomes a disaster two pairs later if you don't leave it a home.
