Peg Board

Peg Board

Drop the ball through pegs and land on a high-scoring slot.

How to play

A field of pegs sits above 9 slots. Each slot is worth points — the slots at the very edges pay the most (10), the center pays nothing (0).

More: full rules and tips

Tap anywhere on the board: the ball drops from the top at the horizontal position of your finger (only the left–right position counts). The ball bounces off pegs unpredictably and finally lands in one slot — that slot's points are added to your score.

You get 10 drops per game.

Goal: highest total score across the 10 drops.

Free to play, points only: there is no real money, no betting and no prizes — the slot values simply add to your score.

Tips & strategy

Don't expect a secret aiming spot: this board is built to be fair. The pegs are spaced so that no vertical line misses them, there is a half-peg against each wall, and every peg contact adds a small random sideways kick. In our simulation of the game's physics, thousands of drops from each point across the board ended up in each of the nine slots about one time in nine, whatever the release point and screen size. Edge, middle or anywhere in between, a single ball averages a little over 4 points.

The centre sitting at 0 and the edges at 10 makes it feel like aiming wide should pay, but the bounces wash out the starting position long before the ball reaches the slots. Over ten balls a typical total lands between about 28 and 58, with the middle of the pack near 42. Reaching 60 happens roughly one game in twelve, 70 about one in a hundred, and a perfect 100 is a one-in-a-million fluke. Treat it as a relaxed game of chance: drop wherever you like, enjoy the bounces, and save the rounds where luck runs your way.
