Frog Cross

Frog Cross

Hop a frog across a busy road and a log-strewn river to fill all five lily pads — without getting flattened or going for a swim.

How to play

Swipe in any direction (up/down/left/right) to hop one cell. Cross the road dodging cars, then ride logs and turtles across the river. Land on one of the five empty lily pads at the top to score and respawn — fill all five to clear the level and advance. Each life has a timer. Three lives total. Each row a frog reaches for the first time is worth 10 points (stepping back and hopping up again earns nothing); a pad is worth 200 plus 5 per second left, and filling all five adds 1,000.

Tips & strategy

Don't be greedy with the long stretches — the safest play is to claim the easiest pad first and bank the points, not the farthest pad. The level clears whichever pads you fill in whatever order.

On the river, time your moves to land on the BACK of a log, not the front. A log carries you forward; if you land near the leading edge and the log keeps moving in the same direction, you'll run out of log before the next lane opens. Landing on the trailing edge gives you the most ride time to plan the next jump.

The road is mostly about reading speed, not luck. The fastest lane is the second one up from the start, not the one next to the rest strip — that far lane is one of the slowest car lanes. Plan the first two lanes together before you leave the grass, then cross both with two quick hops. Slow two-cell trucks can block you longer than you'd think; if a gap is too tight, wait one extra car-cycle on the safe cell instead of forcing the jump.

Fill the centre pads first and the corner pads last. You can only hop up, down, left or right, so reaching a corner pad means riding the river toward an edge and stepping sideways into line — exactly where frogs most often get carried off the screen. There is no bonus for pad order or for avoiding your own earlier routes; only the pad itself and the seconds left on the timer count.
