A fast one-deck solitaire. Deal four columns, discard a card whenever a higher one of the same suit is showing, and free stuck cards into empty columns. Strip the deck down to just the four aces — remove as many cards as you can.
Four columns are dealt from the deck. Only the bottom (nearest) card of each column is in play.
Tap a card to discard it when another column shows a card of the SAME SUIT and a HIGHER rank — aces are high, so an ace beats everything of its suit and is never discarded. Discardable cards glow green.
When a card is stuck, tap it to send it to an empty column, exposing the card behind it. You can only move onto a completely empty column.
When nothing else can be done, tap Deal to lay one new card on each column from the deck. Keep going until the deck runs out. Your score is the number of cards removed; clear everything but the four aces for a perfect 48 and a win.
Empty columns are the whole game. A discard is free whenever you can make one, so the real decisions are about when to open a column and what to park there. Try to keep at least one column empty as breathing room; the moment all four are jammed with low cards of different suits, you are one bad deal from the end.
Move a card to an empty column only when it buys you something — usually to uncover a higher card of a suit you need, or to strand a low card that is blocking a big discard chain. Parking an ace on an empty column is often worth it: aces never leave anyway, so an ace sitting alone costs you nothing and frees the column beneath it.
Before you deal, squeeze out every discard first. New cards can bury a useful high card, so a deal made too early can wall off a discard you were about to reach. Deal only when the board is genuinely stuck, and glance at what each column is hiding — a column sitting on a low card is a liability, one topped by a high card of a live suit is an asset.
Think in suits, not ranks. You are trying to funnel every suit down to its ace, so the high cards of each suit are your tools — a king or queen left in play can clear a long run of the same suit. Protect your high cards, cash the low ones, and keep a lane open, and a deal that looks hopeless will often peel all the way down.
