Never swerve into a tree chasing a gate you cannot make cleanly; let that one go and set up for the next.

The mountain scrolls toward you, so look at the gates and obstacles entering at the top and plan your line through them in advance, drifting smoothly rather than jerking side to side at the last second. As the speed ramps up, small early adjustments keep you on a clean racing line, while late panic turns are what send you skidding into the trees you were trying to dodge.
