Tap a group

Same Game

Tap groups of same-color blocks to clear them. Bigger groups score more.

How to play

A 10Ɨ12 grid is filled with colored blocks. Two or more same-color blocks that touch (horizontally or vertically) form a group.

Tap a group to preview it (it lights up and the points it would earn appear). Tap the same group again to clear it. Tap a different group to switch the preview.

When blocks are cleared, blocks above fall down. Any completely empty columns shift left.

A group of n blocks scores nƗ(nāˆ’1) points: 2 = 2, 3 = 6, 4 = 12, 10 = 90. Clearing the entire board awards a +1000 bonus.

The game ends when no two adjacent blocks share a color.

Goal: highest score before you run out of moves.

Tips & strategy

The scoring is brutally non-linear: a group of n blocks pays nƗ(nāˆ’1), so a single ten-block clear is worth 90 while five separate pairs give only 10. That maths should govern every tap — never pop a small cluster just because it is there. Instead, nurse colours together, merging little pockets into one giant group before you cash it in.

Because cleared blocks let the rest fall and columns slide left, the order of your pops reshapes the whole board. Plan from the bottom and the sides so collapsing columns push same colours into contact, and save your biggest combinations for when they can chain. The real prize is the +1000 bonus for clearing every block, so when the board thins out, work backwards from that goal: leave no stranded single-colour orphans, and choose the pop order that keeps everything connected to the end.
