Block Puzzle

Drag blocks onto a 9×9 grid. Fill rows or columns to clear them.

How to play

A 9×9 board sits above a tray of 3 randomly chosen block shapes.

Drag a block from the tray onto the board. The block can only be dropped where every one of its cells fits on an empty cell. A green ghost shows where it would land — release to place it.

Filling a full row or column clears it (and awards points). Clearing multiple rows/columns at once gives a combo bonus.

When all 3 tray blocks are used, you get 3 new random blocks. The game ends when none of the tray blocks fits anywhere on the board.

Goal: highest score before you run out of room.

Tips & strategy

The secret to surviving is keeping open space, so resist cramming every block into the first gap that fits. Build your placements toward the edges and corners and leave the centre breathing room, because a large empty region in the middle can swallow almost any of the awkward shapes that arrive later. The game does not end when the board is full — it ends when none of your three current blocks fit, so flexibility is your real currency.

Always look at all three tray blocks before placing the first one, and plan the order that leaves the cleanest board. Prioritise completing lines that are already nearly full rather than starting new ones, and remember a single move can clear a row and a column together for a combo. When a long awkward piece appears, place it first while you still have a channel for it, rather than boxing yourself in and discovering too late it has nowhere to go.
